The lecturer, Philippe Lhermie, has been in the financial markets since 1990. Starting as an individual trader on the CAC Future, he then attended courses in market finance at the 'Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers' in Paris, and at the 'Institut des Techniques de Marchés' at the CFPB (the pre-eminent training center for French bankers). For the last 10 years he has been a  professional trader in the trading room of one of the largest CAC 40 companies. Initially a professional on the CME Futures at Chicago, he is now in charge of the currency portfolios of the company. Daily, his Forex trades and orders range from several tens of millions to billions of euros.

Having first been an individual trader and now in his role as a professional trader, the wealth of experience helps him to really understand the problems an individual can meet when alone in front of his computer screen. He regularly writes articles about the Forex market and is regularly invited as a speaker at trade shows.
